Milestone #1: The night is not over!
OMG HIIII!!!1!1!
Good night, everyone! Today we’re finally bringing you the first milestone of our game: Zombielia!!! (*applause and confetti*)
Zombielia is a co-op, 2D, top-down, pixel-art, arcade-shooter-survival-defense game (yeah, we know, that’s a lot of tags), where you and up to two friends will try to survive in a room while a gazillion zombies try to break in and eat your brains. They’ll come in waves—each one bigger and tougher than the last—but don’t worry! At the end of every wave, you’ll have the chance to spend coins (earned by defeating zombies) to upgrade your character and buy items to help you survive the next one.
To give you some context: Zombielia might remind you of games like Vampire Survivors or Call of Duty: Zombies. Your goal is to survive as long as possible (while becoming hopelessly addicted) and show off your high score to your friends. Visually, character designs will resemble those from Super Animal Royale (not in this milestone tho—stay tuned for that in the next one!), and almost every graphic asset will be made by us... with our barely existent artistic skills.
If you decide to download the DEMO linked in this post, you’ll be playing Zombielia in its pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha form. Right now, everything is made out of the godot.png included with Godot, but—as we mentioned in our first devlog—we hope to replace that in the second milestone. For now, we’ve implemented a menu where you can connect with friends and press Play!!! And that’s it, thanks for your attention.

Haha, just kidding!
You’ll actually find an empty room with your characters, each holding a Godot-weapon that shoots Godot-bullets (we're not quite sure if this is funnier than the joke itself). You'll also see zombies surrounding the room—you can shoot them, but they won’t move or drop coins, so their blood will forever weigh on your conscience.
